Hi! My name is Dakayla Halle Hawkins, and I am a sports journalist entering my 4th year at Loyola Marymount University as a journalism major. I aspire to learn more and more every day, as I want to grow in my sports journalism knowledge and abilities. My publishing experience comes from one of the universities paper’s called The Lion, which is run by students, where I was the only sports reporter. Along with that I am currently a student sports journalist for LMU’s athletic department, here I write whatever stories are most relevant, interesting, and impactful.
